Calculator

How this calculator works

ROI (%) = (projected revenue − all costs) ÷ all costs × 100. With $50 cost and $250 revenue, profit is $200 and ROI is 400%.

Frequently asked questions

Does projected Shorts revenue guarantee earnings?

No. All revenue figures are inputs supplied by you. This tool does not predict platform monetization approval or future views.

Should I include the subscription AND the per-credit price?

Only include actual cash spending once. Counting a subscription and then multiplying the same included credits by an assumed cash rate can double count costs.

Worked example: understanding production ROI

If your monthly production costs are US$50 and you expect US$250 in revenue, projected net profit is US$200. ROI is (250 − 50) ÷ 50 × 100 = 400%. The revenue is five times the cost, but the ROI is four times the cost because the original investment is deducted.

These figures are hypothetical. Monetization from social video platforms can vary widely by geography, program eligibility and the performance of individual videos. Enter realistic scenarios rather than assumed viral outcomes.

Include your subscriptions, purchased credits and other production expenses, such as editing tools, freelance work and paid assets. If your costs are zero, ROI as a percentage is undefined.
