Frequently asked questions
Do unused Runway credits carry over?
Standard and Pro monthly credits do not. Runway Max may roll over up to one month. Purchased credits have a separate expiry policy.
Why are Google Flow daily credits excluded?
Daily allotments cannot be treated like one interchangeable monthly pool because they refresh daily and availability may vary.
Worked example: planning 30 videos a month
Imagine publishing 30 videos each month, with three AI-generated five-second shots in each finished video. That requires 90 usable shots. At 60 credits per Gen-4.5 shot, the clean base is 5,400 credits. With 30% extra generations, the expected total is 7,020 credits.
For Runway, compare this budget with the plan's monthly allowance and the minimum credit top-ups needed. Pre-existing purchased credits are not included in this fresh-month estimate.
Google Flow also provides up to 50 free credits per active day. The calculator shows a theoretical ceiling based on the days entered, but it does not subtract that number from paid needs because daily credits cannot be saved for later and usage patterns may prevent consuming all of them.
